Utilities/Customer Service Representative:
Responsible for activities involved in the establishment and maintenance of customer utility accounts; generation and mailing of utility bills; handling customer inquiries related to issues, preparing and verifying a variety of electronic and manual reports and records; generates work orders; and collects a variety of funds for Town fees and services. Work is characterized by the multiple detailed procedural steps involved in the work, and the required independent knowledge of the utility billing process and computer application. Work is performed under general supervision of the Administrative Services Director. Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent, courses in business, accounting or similar field is desired. Special requirements: Valid NCDL and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software. Salary Grade 13, Range $32,139-$49,815 plus excellent benefits. Police Officer:
Town of White Lake, a resort community, population of 846. Salary Grade 14. Salary range $33,746 - $52,306 plus excellent benefits. Duties includes patrolling the Town during an assigned shift, preventing, detecting and investigating disturbances and crime; performing traffic control work; apprehending suspects; and executing related assignments. Employee must exercise judgment, initiative and calm control when performing duties. Graduation from high school and completion of basic law enforcement training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid North Carolina driverís license and have completed at least the minimum requirements established by the North Carolina Justice Training and Standards Commission for certified law enforcement officers.
